There are few places that are filled will so much inspiration as galleries and museums; from art and science to prehistoric and futuristic you just never know what you might discover!

I am always filled with so much inspiration when I visit these amazing places. One of the most special things I find is being in the same room as some of the most incredible pieces in the word, from the paintings of masters and ancient artefacts, it has such a humbling and reflective effect.

A few of my favourites are;

The National Gallery of Victoria, Melbourne

This is my local gallery in Melbourne, affectionately known as NGV, I have been visiting it for as long as I can remember and I have had some amazing days exploring its vast collection with close friends and family, it is such a great experience to explore with these special people, you just never know what you might learn from them as much as from the art!

Louvre Museum, Paris

There is no collection quite like the Louvre, from the buildings that hold the collection to the collection itself, from icons to emperors and pharaohs there is truly no place quite like it!

The Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York

A true treasure trove filled with endless examples from the world’s best; from an endless costume collection to endless rooms that transport you to every corner of the earth!

Country Houses and Stately Homes, England

For an interior designer the houses of the past are filled with endless inspiration, from Georgian Mansions to the Palaces of the royal family you just never know what you will discover!

Egyptian Museum, Cairo

An absolute Aladdin’s cave of the ancient, from the treasures of Tutankhamun to artefacts from the Middle East and its surrounds, it is a truly awe-inspiring collection!
