One of my favourite places to visit in Melbourne in Spring is the Fitzroy Gardens in East Melbourne! As far as gardens go in Melbourne the Fitzroy Gardens are at the top of my list, from fountains and old trees to winding paths and magnificent floral displays you will be lost in a magical world right in the middle of the city.
Spring is especially spectacular at the Fitzroy Gardens and as a Melbourne Interior Designer it is a feast for my eyes. From the avenues filled with fragrant jonquils and the amazing collection of narcissus bookended by bare winter trees. Then there are the vibrant primrose and delicate tulips bouncing in the wind!
If it’s a clear Melbourne day take a picnic and find a spot in the sunshine. The abundant fragrance in the air mixed with the new life of Spring will definitely make your day!
Melbourne is spoiled with so many beautiful gardens, from Carlton and Williamstown to the Royal Botanical Gardens in the Domain to the landscaped grounds of Como House in Toorak.
If you are in need of a little bit of fresh air and some inspiration why not explore one of Melbourne’s gardens?
