Carved, forged, chiselled and honed I have always been drawn to the astonishing ways that iron can be handled to create such beautiful things!
From elaborate balustrades to fine detailed iron lace the beauty is really quite humbling given the hard and raw nature of the raw materials.
Here are a few of my favourite uses of iron, from the domed roof of a garden pavilion, over the top iron lace dripping from the front of a Victorian town house to the amazing organic forms and scrolls detailed on the balustrade of a mansion to one of the most famous doors in New York city (guess where?!), the level of detail and endless applications is endlessly inspiring!
