CITY STREETS

I love exploring the streets of every city I visit, from my hometown of Melbourne to the streets of Sydney, London, New York and Paris there is endless inspiration everywhere!

Here are 5 places you might not have though of when exploring city streets;

1: Most cities are filled with old laneways, once the very utility of the city’s heart they have been transformed into laneways filled with boutique shops, galleries and the most fantastic cafes and bars!

2: I love to go to the very heart of a city, the part that is filled with the oldest buildings, this area is often filled quite unchanged by the modern world and is still filled with so much character and charm.

3: one of the best places to view a city is from high in the sky, this gives you a very unique perspective and a birds eye view of the city below, look for tall buildings with viewing platforms or bars and restaurants perched high above the skyline.

4: being an Interior Designer I’m always shopping, so naturally I seek out the best shopping streets of every city I visit, not only are these streets filled with the mot amazing stores filled with absolutely beautiful things, but also the shop windows are filled with amazing ideas and pure fantasy!

5: City parks are a fantastic place for a little rest when your exploring a beautiful city, not only are they a piece of green in an urban jungle but they also offer a unique insight into the locals!

A final word on exploring, don’t forget that every day you can go exploring, you don’t need to save these things for travelling, why not try a different way to work or wonder down that street that has always caught your eye, who know what fabulous things you might discover!
